Mobile

  1. Type in the input area, or select a photo using the ＋ button.
  2. The mouth button feeds your pet. The hamster's ear button shreds; the orangutan's hand button tears.
  3. Tap a pet at its desk to make it throw the keyboard, climb down and react. After a pause it collects the pieces, repairs the board and puts it back. Tap a pet on the floor or move your phone gently for a reaction.
  4. Drag the pet onto or away from the desk. Use Settings just above the input area to switch pets or turn off motion controls.

Mac · Windows

  1. Drag text or a file onto the mouth to feed it. Drop it onto the hamster's ear or orangutan's hand to shred or tear it.
  2. Double-click your pet, then press Enter to strike the keyboard.
  3. Click the keyboard on the desk to throw it. Click a broken keyboard to repair it.
  4. Drag your pet to move it. Open Settings or Help from Tippo in the menu bar or system tray.

Settings

On mobile, Settings above the input area offers pet switching, taught phrases, language and motion options. Naming is a desktop feature; each desktop pet keeps its own name. Desktop also offers keyboard repair speed. Available languages: Korean, English, Simplified Chinese and Spanish.

Widgets

On iPhone, touch and hold the Home Screen, then choose Edit → Add Widget and find Tippo. On Android, touch and hold the Home Screen, open Widgets and select Tippo. Menu names may vary by device.

Widgets show a static view of the selected pet and open the app when tapped. Your operating system controls refresh timing.

Apple Watch · Wear OS

The watch app is included with mobile in the same store. Tap the watch screen to bring your pet down from its desk for a reaction. Keep tapping to extend the reaction; stop to let it return. Tap the keyboard itself to throw it and let the pet collect the keycaps and repair it. The arrow icon switches pets: upper-right on Apple Watch, bottom-center on Wear OS. On Wear OS, press and hold this button for Privacy policy and Contact.

Open the app from an Apple Watch Smart Stack widget or complication, or a Wear OS Tile or complication. App animations run only in the foreground; these glance surfaces remain static. The phone syncs only the selected species, and the watch app also works offline.

Original files and input

Feeding, shredding and tearing are animations. Original files are never changed or deleted. See the privacy policy for input handling and local storage.

Purchases and reinstalling

Tippo is a one-time paid download with no usage limits, in-app purchases or subscriptions. The watch app is included with mobile in the same store. Mobile and desktop versions are sold separately. Purchases do not transfer between stores.

Reinstall from the app library of the store account used to buy Tippo. Removing the app may also remove local data. Contact the store where you purchased Tippo for payment or refund questions.
